Our Masjids are the lifeblood of our communities. Not only are they places of worship but they are also hubs for education, welfare, gatherings,, funeral services and wedding services. Masjids play a critical role in comprehensively serving our diverse communities across Northern Ireland.
Events and Workshops
NWIA regularly organises varieties of events to make local community familiar with Islamic faith and Muslim cultures. These events are instrumental for better understanding of each other's cultures, practices, and faiths..
Hundreds of visitors from the local community from all ages and beliefs come to visit North West Islamic Community Centre every year to interact with the local Muslims.
Youth group visit: Youth group from both sides of the border visits North West Islamic Community Centre regularly to learn the Muslim culture and practices.
- Adult group seminars and visit: Since the inception, NWIA organised more than 15 dedicated events for local adults to create awareness of islam and Muslim cultures.
NWIA representatives visited several local schools and colleges in recent years to discuss Islam and address many questions from the curious students and teachers.
